About Us

Since I was a little girl I always loved to help my grandmother make her famous homemade blueberry and rhubarb pies.  It was then that i realized I wanted to become a baker just like her.  I started my passion for all things sweet when I made my first cake for my niece's first birthday over 13 years ago.  

All of the baked goods at Sonya's Sweet Treats are unique creations which are always decided last minute.  I source my recipes from books and the internet and I like to adjust the recipes to suit my family's tastes.

In January 2015 I became a Certified Wilton Instructor and taught the Wilton Method to many students for  4 years.  Currently I teach my own creative classes at our bakery.

I practice and take courses to keep myself up to date on the current culinary culture.
